…the way it was…..
2020 has been a very different year for the MTM awards team. After the tough decision to postpone the awards for 2020 and not host them virtually, the team switched their efforts from arranging award shows to help foodbanks and community groups. Junior our CEO also DJ’d to his neighbours to keep spirits high during the first lockdown.
July 31st, 2021 saw the long-awaited return of the MTM Awards at the Bristol Marriott Hotel for closure of MTM Awards 2020. After the hiatus of last year the pandemic, the team behind these major international awards was so proud to be able to finally host this glittering gala awards ceremony for all retrospective nominees from 2020 in the Hotel in July 2021.
As the first lockdown was announced in March 2020, Junior Sheikh launched MTM Connect, South West Food Bank Appeal, launched on the 18th of March 2020 supported by Friends of the MTM Awards, a project initiated by our director, Junior Sheikh. The team collected essential items and delivered them to food banks across the South West of England which had a bigger demand than usual during the pandemic.
